Jan Krzysztof Ardanowski Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development
He was born in 1961 in Czernikowo, nearby Toruń. In
1985, he graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture at the Technology and Agriculture Academy in Bydgoszcz. He has been running a family farm with his wife since 1983. Between 1998 and 2002, he was a councillor in the regional council of kujawsko-pomorskie province as a member of the Solidarity Electoral Action. In 2010–2011, he was a councillor in the regional council of kujawsko-pomorskie province as a member of PiS. Between 1992 and 2002, he was the deputy head of the National Agricultural Advisory Council, whereas in 2003–2007 he served as the head of the National Council of Agricultural Chambers in Warsaw. From 2005 to 2007, he was the undersecretary of state in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. Between 2008 and 2010, he served as the advisory to the President Lech Kaczyński in rural areas and agriculture. He was a member of the Sejm of 7th and 8th term. In the 7th term, he served as the deputy head of the Agriculture Committee, Energy and State Treasury Committee. He was appointed the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development on 20 June 2018.
